OUR GROUP

The Laboratory for Research Ethics, Scientific Communication and Society (LECCS) primarily focuses on studying scientific communication and research ethics/integrity, exploring the interactions between these fields and their interfaces with science policy, publication ethics, technological transformations, research methodologies, management, and science education. Our work emphasizes the fundamental connection between science and society, considering that these interactions shape and are shaped by how research is conducted, communicated, and assessed. LECCS is part of the Area of Education, Management and Diffusion in Biosciences (PEGeD) at the Institute of Medical Biochemistry (IBqM/UFRJ).
